A new trailer for Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist was released exclusively on IGN.com. Titled “Inauguration“, the trailer showcases Sam Fisher doing his thing in a variety of different locations. In some scenes, Fisher is not wearing his traditional gear and suit which might be hinting at more social stealth missions which we saw featured in Splinter Cell: Conviction. There is also a much greater emphasis on day time missions if these trailers are to be believed. You can see all this for yourself right here.

Along with the trailer, Ubisoft also announced that they have delayed the game (game was officially scheduled to be released this Spring) to August 20, 2013. Splinter Cell: Blacklist producer had this to say;

“We’ve said it before, but this truly is the biggest game in the series – it has a huge scope. We’ve created a massive amount of content across all the game modes, from single player, to co-op and multiplayer, and we feel strongly that the game will benefit from taking the time we need for polish.”

Although the game is being delayed for further polish and bug squashing; we also believe that it was delayed due to a very competitive Spring line-up that is being headlined by games such as Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider
