A German website has shed some light on the length of the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The latest Witcher installment is going to be open-world so naturally you can expect it to be longer than the first two Witcher games. But, how much longer is it?

The Witcher 3′s main quest is going to last players around 50 hours. That is a significantly longer than what players were provided with the Witcher 2. The 50 hour mark does not include side quests which CDProjeckt has promised to be unique and varied. CDProjekt is gunning for Skyrim’s throne and they are planning on besting it in just about every aspect they can find. Length, size, combat, quests, and immersion seem to be the key pillars.

There is a slew of other improvements and features that are coming to the Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt which range from;

- Horses are in, and they can either be bought or tamed

Geralt will be able to traverse environments in a much more agile way

- Quick-Time events are no more (thank God)

- Hunting provides Geralt with crafting materials which can be used for selling and making money, not experience.

These are some of the new features in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. The game is scheduled to hit stores sometime in 2014
