The next Assassins Creed game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is being developed with the next generation of consoles in mind. This entails a number of things in how the developers are going to be creating the game.
The power of the next generation consoles brings in more power that can be utilized to make the game play experience much smoother. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag handles that by getting rid of load times completely. This is design choice influenced by next-generation consoles however it is also going to be making its way to current generation consoles as well but expect the experience to be paired back.
Earlier Assassin’s Creed involved the use of loading screens when traveling from one area – play space to another. For example in Assassin’s Creed 3, when traveling between the Frontier to a a city such as Boston or New York, players would be greeted to a loading screen.
Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag promises to be a true open-world game with proper systematic game play qualities. Expect the game to follow in veins of Far Cry 2 and 3 rather than something we would expect from a traditional Assassin’s Creed game.
